O Robert Henke (a.k.a. Monolake) υποδέχεται τον Νοέμβριο με ένα νέο κομμάτι: ‘Oomoo’- το κατεβάζεις εδώ.
November.... winter is coming closer. For this month I recommend a bottle of Australian Shiraz, maybe a Hardys McLaren Vale 'Oomoo' from 2006, an open fire place and inoffensive calm drone music in the background.
The track here is based on some of the source material for the 2004 album release Signal to Noise, and it is mainly a single recording of a longer pad sound of a yamaha sy 77 synthesizer. It has been sampled, transposed, filtered and layered a few times to get to the final result.
Τον τίτλο τον έχει δανειστεί από την ποικιλία αυστραλέζικων κρασιών Oomoo της εταιρείας Hardys.
"For the 2006 vintage the winemakes at Hardys winery in MacLaren Vale have produced a Shiraz that reflects the renowned characters of the region. The nose is brimming with lifted dark fruits of black cherry and plum with hints of rich chocolate. On the palate, plum and ripe berry flavours dominate, with a generous mouthfeel and lingering spicy oak."
Ενδιαφέρον έχουν όλα τα installations που έχει κάνει κατά καιρούς ο Henke, ειδικά το πιο πρόσφατο cyclone.

Ο Ηenke έχει κάνει ολόκληρη σειρά απο φωτογραφίες του συγκεκριμένου δέντρου - που βρίσκεται μάλλον κάτω απο το studio ή το σπίτι του. Μπορείς να τις βρείς στη σελίδα του στο flickr. Το oomoo είναι καλό, στο ίδιο στυλ με τα υπόλοιπα κομμάτια του signal to noise. Στο site του έχει μερικές πολύ ενδιαφέρουσες συνεντεύξεις που αξίζει να τις διαβάσεις, αν και είμαι σίγουρος οτι το έχεις κάνει ήδη.

Ενδιαφέρον έχει το κείμενο 'live performance in the age of super computing', αν και διαφωνώ σε πολλά σημεία με όσα λέει (βέβαια όταν πάει να τα χώσει στον Toop έχει γέλιο)
